Update on Bronte:
At Ladies Kennel Association on 11 december 2011 Bronte won 1st in Minor Puppy Bitch and 1st in Puppy Bitch, and Best Malinois Puppy Bitch,which I am pleased to say she has qualified for Crufts 2012.
Deepha (Bonvivant Coup de Foudre avec Zodantta) got 2nd in Veteran bitch this was her last ever show , she has been a good ambassador for the breed and has done me proud, first ever Malinois Championship Show Group Winner, first ever Malinois Show Certificate of Merit Winner, has had many BOB and became a champion at the age of 10.
I will miss not showing her but I feel it was time for her to retire and rest and relax, she is now 11 half and her name will be in the history books.
On december 17th at Darwen Canine Society, Bronte got 2nd in puppy bitch.

Went to Maghull and Merseyside Canine Society on 4th December Bronte won AVNSC puppy bitch, won Best AVNSC Puppy, and was short listed for Best Puppy in Show, realy proud of her.

I bought home my new puppy last tuesday her name is Bronte, she is lovely and is very good, Deepha took to her straight away, and Kobra is still wondering what she is doing here but he has had kisses of her.
Today I went to Darlington Championship Show and Deepha won Best Veteran, Best Bitch and Best of Breed, then to top it all my friends Jan and Barbara organised a surprise birthday party for me, it was a lovely surprise.

News on whats been going on:
Blackpool championship Show 24,25,26 June 2001 the first 2 days I was stewarding its always a tiring job because you have to make sure the ring is run smoothly(paperwork etc)
On the third day I showed Deepha she won Malinois Open bitch, Best bitch and Best Opposite Sex.
East of England Championship Show 9 July 2011 Deepha won 2nd in Malinois Open Bitch.
National Working and Pastoral Breeds Championship Show 16 July 2011 Deepha won 2nd in Veteran dog/bitch.
BSDA Gt Britian Championship Show Deepha won Veteran Bitch.
I took my trade stand and sold quite a few bags and other things, had a very good day, Deepha and I went back to my friends for a week, on the monday we had a few friends to a BBQ later on we had a fun agility for the adult dogs and puppies, it was great fun.
My new puppy Bronte is coming on well, I will be taking her home soon.
On the 14th August 2011 my friend and I went down to Bourenmouth Championship Show
we started out on the night before and arrived in time after stopping a few times to have a sleep. Deepha won Veteran Bitch.
2 days after coming home from Jan's I went camping down to Builth Wells the the Welsh Kennel Club Championship Show, Deepha won Malinois Open Bitch ,Reserve Challenge Certificate and Best Veteran in Breed.

Hi everyone, still very busy.
Deepha and I went to Bath Championship Show on 29 May, deepha won 3rd place in Open bitch. On the 11 June we went to Three Counties Championship Show at Malvern in Worcestershire, I won 2nd in Junior with the tervueren bitch I show for Chris my friend.
Deepha my Malinois won 2nd in Open bitch, and then went on to win 4th in Special Veteran Stakes out of a class of 11 dogs I was very pleased with the results.
On the 18 June we went to our Breed Championship Show which was quite local, I was going to have my trade stand there but the weather was very windy and started to blow it all over the place, so decided to pack it up.
I have also been doing a bit of stewarding.
Blackpool Championship Show is on the 24th 25th and 26th of June first 2 days I am stewarding and the 3rd day I am showing Deepha, on the 30th June I have been asked to judge a training class in Blackpool. June has been a very busy month, I have only got 2 Championship Shows in July so hopefully I will be able to have a rest till August.
This year 27th June is John and my 30th wedding anniversary so we are going out for a meal to celebrate.

Deepha and I went to Scottish Kennel Club Championship show with friends Tracy and Dave, it was a lovey day but very windy.
My friend Jan got her 3rd CC with Cruz ( Bonvivant tete a tete) making him a Champion, Tracy got reserve CC with her malinois Revloch Yabadabado.
It was Deephas 11th birthday the day before the show.
Deepha got 3rd in Open Bitch very pleased with deepha she thoughly enjoyed herself and looked great.
A great day had by all.

Well on Saturday I got up very early 4.30am did my flasks and finished loading the car and started our journey 5.10am, weather was foggy and cold but as soon as we got on the A6 it seemed to have cleared and the journey was a little better, we arrived at the show at 7.30 am.
It was a very long day the judging was very slow in both my rings. Deepha won her class AVNSCP Open Dog/Bitch then went on to win Best AVNSCP Bitch.
Was very proud of her couldn't have asked for more.
Next show is National Working and Pastoral Open.

Its been a few months since I posted.
But now I'm back, the show season has started so watch this space.
My first show is Manchester on the 22 Jan no breed classes so we are in AVNSC Pastoral and Veteran Stakes.

It's been some weeks since I wrote on my blog, but we haven't been doing very much, except gardening and get it ready for the winter.
On the 22 August Deepha and I went to Welsh Kennel Champ Show, my grandaughter came with us, I realy enjoyed her company and she seemed to enjoy it too.
I showed Chris Bennetts Tervueren puppy, she had 3rd in minor puppy bitch and 2nd in puppy bitch.
The Malinois was in the ring later in the afternoon, Deepha (Ch Bonvivant Coup De Foudre avec Zodantta CSAU ex. TAN. Sh CM) 2nd in Open bitch and Reserve bitch CC, Bitch CC and Best of Breed was Toyah (Multi Ch Revloch O'baoill) Dog CC was his 3rd Belsharose Nebraska, Reserve Dog CC was Raueri (Revloch Yabba Dabba Doo (ikc).
We had a good journey home.
On the 10th of September I went down to Jan's to get ready to go to Richmond on the 11th its quite a long journey and tireing there was a hold up on the M25 but managed to get to the show about 11.30, which was ok as we were not in till about 3pm, the judge wanted to judge us inside the tent but we talked him into doing it outside.
Jan's young pup Caper ( Bonvivant Zippydedoodah) won the dog CC and Best of Breed, Reserve Dog CC was Cruz (Bonvivant Tete A Tete), Deepha (Ch Bonvivant Coup De Foudre avec Zodantta CSAU ex. TAN. Sh.CM won Bitch CC, Reserve CC was Toyah (Multi Ch Revloch O'baoill).

Went to East of England Champ show had a lovely day Deepha won reserve best bitch.
At National Working and Pastoral Champ show Jan was judgeing so I help steward in her ring it was great fun I thoughly enjoyed myself.
Cheltenham & District Open show Deepha won Best of Breed.
Now looking forward to Welsh Kennel.

I have done my stint of stewarding at Blackpool for this year, today Sunday I showed Deepha, there was 7 malinois entered but there were 3 absentees.
Best Dog and Best of Breed went to Revloch Yabba Dabba Doo (Raueri), Reserve Dog was Goldmali Bohemian Rhapsody, Best Bitch and Best Opposite Sex was my own Ch Bonvivant Coup De Foudre avec Zodantta csau-ex. tan Sh CM (Deepha), Reserve Bitch was Sabrefield Zimply Zuper.
We had a lovely day it was realy hot in fact all three days were super.

Sorry i haven't updated for a while but have been rather busy I went to 3 Counties to judge the Groenendael I had quite a good entry and some very nice exhibits, I had a very nice enjoyable day.

Today Deepha, Kobra and I went to Cheshire County Show, I was showing Deepha and Kobra came along for the day, a good day was had by all.

There was only one class for the Malinois so the dogs and bitches were in together, Deepha won the class and got Best of Breed, it was about an hour later when they called the Pastoral Group, to my surprise Deepha was short listed to the last 7 and won Pastoral Group 2, as I am sure you can imagin we were delighted, so we flew home and got home about 4.10pm with no hold ups.

Going to Blackpool next weekend I am stewarding on the Friday and Saturday and showing Deepha on the Sunday. So if your going we will see you there.

Deepha and I have had a wonderful weekend.

On friday we went to jan's for the weekend Saturday we had a chill out day and Sunday at 6.30am Jan, Barbara, myself and 5 dogs went to Bath Championship Show, it was a great day Jan's young puppy Caper (Bonvivant Zippydedoodah )won the reserve dog CC and best puppy in breed, and my own bitch Bonvivant Coup De Foudre avec Zodantta CSAU Ex - Tan. Sh CM won her third CC making her a 'Champion' subject to the KC.

I have been in malinois for a long time and never thought the day would come that I would ever have a Champion, I am so proud of her.

Thank you Jan for such a lovely girl, also Zena Thorn Andrews, Jeff Luscott, and Dyllis Knight for thinking so highly of her. We got there in the end.

deepha and I went to SKC on friday had a lovely drive up with Tracy and Dave and of cause there malinois Raueri, Deepha won her second CC at the age of 10years still looking as good as ever, we are slowly getting there considering the Malinois were given CC status in 2006.
Raueri got his first CC at just 12months and also BOB.
Deepha and I had a lovely day the weather was lovely and warm, and we had a good journey home. See you at Bath champ show if your going.

Not been to any shows of late so nothing to report.

Went to the Contest of Champions on the 3rd of April I realy enjoyed it it was something different, Deepha showed her socks of as usual but got knocked out in first round as did the other belgians.

Its been a lovely sunny weekend so I have been catching up with the gardening and took a few photo's of the dogs.

Deepha and my next show is WELKS so if you are going I will see you there.

Deepha and I had a lovely weekend.
Firstly we went to Bootle, Crosby and Sth Liverpool Canine Society Open Show on Saturday there was no classes for the Malinois so we went in AVNSC Pastoral Deepha won her class and also won Best AVNSC Pastoral and then got Pastoral Group 3 I was over the moon.
Sunday was the BSDA of Gt Britian Open Show Deepha won Best Malinois Bitch.
Next weekend Easter, Deepha, Jan and I are going to the Contest of Champions in London I am realy looking forward to it as I have never been invited before.

I was ment to go to Cheltenham Open Show last Sunday, got up early to leave at 6am, started of to the show but on the way down the road the battery light came on I stopped to get the car book out to see what was wrong and it said the alternator was on its way out, needless to say I didn't get to the show. but well done to Angie with Yana and Lucy with Dana for getting best puppy and best of breed. Car is now mended thank goodness, but purse a lot lighter.
Well next show is Crufts, Deepha and I will be there Thursday and Friday,very tireing time, going down to Jan's on Wednesday till Sunday if Jan can put up with both of us for that long.

Hi all it's quite a while since I wrote on here.

Deepha and I went to National Working and Pastoral Breeds last Saturday had a good day Deepha was her usual bouncy self and won reserve Best of Breed.

We are off to Cheltenham dog show this Sunday so will see what we get there.

Had a lovely weekend again at Jan's she is a very good host.

Saturday Deepha and I went to Newark and District Open Show was a little cold, got in the ring about 12ish Trevor Wheeler was judgeing there was 7 Malinois entered which is a very good entry for an Open Show, Deepha won her class then went on to win Best of Breed, went back to Jan's after the show then went home on Sunday.

I don't know if I have mentioned this before but Deepha is Dog World's Top Malinois 2009 and has qualified to compete at the Prestgious Contest of Champion Show Dogs in April.

I am right chuffed!!!

Hi been very busy of late, this weekend I thought I would have a bit of a break so went down to see Jan, Caper and for the Laekenois puppies.

It made a nice change. Jan and Gaston were waiting for Shiraz to have her puppies but she wasn't haveing any of it.

Deepha and I are going to our first show of the year on Saturday at Newark, it will help her get back into it ready for Crufts.

Snow is melting at the moment been able to get out at last.
started back at work yesterday.
Hopefully I can shed some of the pounds I seemed to put on while I was not working.
Is there anybody out there that has the magazine called Closer ending on the 15th January can't get one here anywhere theres a diet in it I would like to try please let me know if your throwing it away.

Weather still very bad it freezes at night, haven't been able to go to work again this week because of the icy roads.
I am getting very fed up and bored not being able to get out, tele says it will still be like this at least next week.

Snow is begining to thaw but very slowley, dogs love it they don't care if its icy or not they have a good sence of balance.

We were snowed in for 5 days christmas week so couldnt go to work, but managed to get to work this week even though the roads are still icy.

Johns still on holiday goe's back to work monday.

We sent a taxi to pick my grandaughter up for christmas, we all had a lovely day but unfortunatly she had to go to work on boxing day so got her a taxi to work.

Couldn't get out for work today and unless the weather starts to thaw wont be able to go wednesday or thursday either.

Had to cancel my doctors appointment and my hairdressers, thursday we are ment to be going to a pub in Garstang for chrismas dinner, I will probably have to cancel that tomorrow.

Well my holidays are over now till next year.
The weather has got realy cold now had a little bit of snow a couple of days ago but had a heavy night of frost for it to rest on.
Went to Preston to do my shopping yesterday the roads were frosty so took it slowly, had a nice time on my own just daudling slowly round the shops with no dogs to worry about they stayed with John at home.
Don't like this time of year it's either wet or very cold, nights draw in to quickly and with the weather being bad most of the time you can't venture to far on foot or by road, and with my family doing its own thing around christmas puts a damper on it for me, but my granddaughter has decided she would like to come for chritmas dinner so I will try to make it a good time for her I am looking forward to it.
John and I have booked christmas dinner at one of the local pubs on christmas eve, so I will enjoy that as I won't be cooking or cleaning up.
Well back to work next week. (no rest for the wicked so they say.

Deepha and I got up very early Sunday morning to heavy frosted roads to start our journey to Birmingham for the LKA Championship show.
Deepha was entered in the NSCP Open class she showed her socks of as usual and won 2nd place then she was called in for reserve best NSCP and won that also.
The LKA is the last show of the year, so Deepha can have a rest as her next show is not till February 2010.

It's my granddaughter Jennifers 21st birthday today and we have just been to have a meal and a small party with her and a few of her friends that my daughter organised.
The meal was very good and so was the company, we had a good laugh and jennifer said she realy enjoyed it.
My daughter told jennifer that John and I couldn't make the party as I was at a dog show .
John and I got to the pub before she arrived so we could surprise her, when she came in her face was a picture so glad to see us, she was gob smacked eye's popping out of her head, well worth the white lie.

Over the weekend Deepha got her last 2 points she needed to get her Show Certificate of Merit the forms have been filled in and posted so it's now subject to Kennel Club approval.
She is a fantastic girl for her age nine and a half, still very agile lovely mover and powerful, I feel she is a credit to the breed like some that have gone before her. Thank you Jan for everything!
Deepha and my dream now is to see if she can get her other 2 challenge certificates before she starts to look her age.

This is Star a dog I am dog walking for a lady, lovely dog and beautiful condition.

Isn't the weather awful the garden has been flooded again with all this rain, tried to do a little gardening this morning as it's the first weekend I have been home for awhile , managed to do a little but rain stopped play. so took cover in my study with Kobra asleep on his chair it's nice and dry in here.

Show wise Deepha and I went to Grantham Open show and won 2nd so we left early and went to visit Jan.

While I was there I was very pleased to hear later in the day Lucy and Dana won the pastoral group (Bonvivant Sorciere) seems like the judges are beginning to notice a good dog when they see one and not just pass us by. Well Done Lucy and Dana!

On the Sunday I was stewarding for Blackpool Toy Dog Open Show at St Annes , they asked me about 4-5 years ago, I do it twice a year.

I realy enjoy stewarding for them they are realy a happy society always laughing and jokeing.

Well went to work this morning to start at 10 am my client said there was nothing for me to do because he has the decorators in so I said I would come back on monday.
I didn't mind gives me more time to do my printing, I am in the middle of printing my 4th poetry book, first time I have printed it myself , sounds easy but it's not, decided to have a go myself to try and keep the costs down, and that side of it has worked.
Must get on with my printing need the books for Midland Counties.

Well the weather is begining to get colder even when the sun shows its head it is chilly, the winds are also getting stronger, anyway that enough of the weather forecast.
Have been very busy lately with work and going to a lot of shows.
At Stafford & district Canine Society Open Show Deepha won 3rd in AVNSC Open.
The Belgian Shepherd Dog Ass of GB Deepha won 2nd in Malinois Open Bitch and Best Veteran Bitch.
South Wales Kennel Ass Deepha won 3rd in Malinois Open bitch.
The Northern Belgian Shepherd Dog Club Deepha won 1st in Malinois Open Bitch, Best Bitch, best Veteran Bitch, and Reserve Best of Breed.
Still got 6 more shows to go to before the end of the year, 2 championship and 4 Open.
I have some new pictures to go on the blog but for some reason best known to itself the computer wont do it.

Deepha and I went to Darlington Championship Show yesterday at Newby Hall Ripon North Yorkshire we were third in the ring this was about 12.30pm there was 7 entered and 10 entries Cougar (Ch Bonvivant Esprit) won Best Dog and Best Opposite Sex, Reserve Best Dog was Sam ( Bonvivant Saumur), Deepha ( Bonvivant Coup De Foudre avec Zodantta Csau-ex .Tan) won Best Bitch and Best of Breed also Best Veteran, Reserve Best Bitch was Lexi ( Bonvivant Symbolique at Tokyn), Best Puppy in Breed was Chic ( Bonvivant Ysatis).
Had a realy lovely day weather was lovely and hot quite different to last year , which was wet cold and very muddy.

Last weekend Deepha and I went down to Jan's so we could go down to Richmond Championship Show at Losely Park, with her and Barbara.

(Barbara has Kobra's brother Sam)

It was a lovely sunny day left Jan's at approx 5.45 am but it took us ages to get there because of road works on the A1, we finerly arrived at 9.45 am ish so it was a mad dash to the ring as judging was at 10 and we were first in the ring which was unusual to say the least anyway Jan was in first with her young pup they had called the class but Zena Thorn Andrews was the judge and told Jan to take her time so not to freek Yaz out.

Zena was getting through the classes very quickly before I new it I was in with Deepha.

Deepha won her class then went on to challenge for best bitch which she won.

Then was the time for the CC it was a single which for those reading this and don't know who ever gets BOB gets the CC no matter if its a dog or bitch (thank god this is the last single)

Well much to my surprise Deepha won the CC this is her first but I hope not her last.

There is no more CC's to challenge for this year we will have to wait till Crufts 2010.

So as you can guess we all came home floating.

Last weekend with it being bank holiday my husband John decided that the kio carp hadn't been reading the right books.

I said what are you on about?

He said the book that tells them when to stop growing (Ha Ha)

So he decided to make the pond bigger as you can see it's like a building site, Kobra is in his element in and out of the water and mud, Deepha goe's for the easy life with me in the study just going out now and again to have a play with him.

When John had dismantled the old pond I asked him if he wished he hadn't started it he said yes he had forgotton what such a big job it was.

But now all the digging out has been done and he is rebuilding it he said he will be glad to go to work for a rest (Ha Ha).

All this upheavel is outside my front door, but i'm sure it will be nice when it's finished.

I think it will be more like a lake than a pond.

Well of Deepha and I went to Welsh Kennel, we left home at 1.30am to get a good run with very little traffic when we were about an hour away form our destination I pulled into a closed services to have a sleep when I woke we had been there about an hour this was 5am so off we went for the last part of our journey arrived at Biulth Wells at 6.45am had to wait till 7 am before they would let us in.

When we had parked I had a little relax for awhile took Deepha for a walk to stretch our legs then I started to take my stuff into the cattle shed were the rings and benches were. Judging was meant to start at 10am with Greonendael then Tervueren, we didn't think we would be in the ring before 3pm but Judge Jean Lawless was quite quick and we were in a lot sooner. Bitch CC and best of Breed went to Gaffey's Sabrefield Sequoya who was also made up on the day Dog CC went to Jan's Bonvivant Tete A Tete, Reserve Dog CC was Jan's puppy Bonvivant Yazoo

Reserve Bitch CC was my own Bonvivant Coup De Foudre avec Zodantta (Deepha)

Best Puppy in Breed was Bonvivant Yazoo.

Best Malinois Breeder was Jan Ralph then we went on to main ring for Best Pastoral Breeder group and we were so delighted when we won it.

Deepha and I started our journey home about 6pm it was a good journey I decided not to stop and we arrived home after picking up some tea for me at the local Chinese about 9.15pm very tired , I fed Deepha had my tea come supper and then relaxed for awhile before going to bed.

What a great time we had the week we went down to Jans.

I went down on the Thursday evening got there about 9pm tired after the long journey, had a coffee and chatted till the early hours.

On the Friday it was all go getting the things Jan had ordered for the picnic and the barby then starting to prepare them and get things that needed cooking cooked in between seeing to the dogs, we decided to have an easy meal in the evening as we didnt have time to stop, so I nipped to the chippy, my god were they good.

When we had finished feeding our faces I went and help Jan with the dogs, that was a long tyering day.

Not to late to bed as we had to be up at 4am to go to the show at Uttoxeter.

Deepha (Bonvivant Coup De Foudre avec Zodantta) came second in Open Bitch and first in Veteran Bitch was graded Excellent she won reserve best bitch at the Northern BSD Champ Show under Mon Michel Griol.

On the Sunday was the BSDAGB Champ Show Deepha won Open Bitch was graded Excellent again by American Judge Sharon Redmer.

One of the highlights of this show was that Deepha's sister Cher (Bonvivant C'est Chic) won Best Veteran in Show.

After the excitment of the weekend on the Monday we all mucked in getting the picnic food ready for Tuesday and making sure we had everything ready for the barby on wednesday.

Tuesday afternoon we went to the beach at Scagness there was 7 people and I think 10 dogs

it was great Deepha and I went a walk up the beach she thought it was great.

After all the dogs had had a blow out on the beach we went back to the cars for our picnic which I think everybody enjoyed sand flies and wasps didn't dampen the day thats part of having a picnic isn't it.

On the Wednesday lots of us jammed into the kitchen to help Jan take everything out to where the barby was, there was loads of food of different sorts it was super there was a agility course that everybody could have a go on, Deepha enjoyed herself on that, Steve Hughes did some fun obedience later on, and the barby was going all day and into late evening.

It was a great atmosphere, and Deepha and I realy enjoyed it.

Been kept busy with housework etc over last weekend trying to get house in order so I don't have to worry while I am away next week.

Looking forward to going down to Jan's for the week ,got the 2 championship shows over weekend and then Jan has laid on something special for tuesday and wednesday, then I'm home thursday.

It will be nice to meet friends that I haven't seen for awhile.

Hi sorry I haven't posted for a while but here we go.
I came down to earth with a big bang at East of England we had a allrounder judge and she gave Deepha 3rd in open bitch so there you go.

We went to National Working and Pastoral champ show on 18th July we had tickets on offer Deepha got reserve CC under a breed judge.

Deepha and I camped that night there was Eversham Open show the next day, the weather was very wet infact it chucked it down all day on the sunday with very little bright places.

Deepha won the Malinois open and she got Best of Breed, we stayed for the group but got chucked out.

We left for home about 3.50pm and got home about 7.30pm the weather on the way home was terrible in places the traffic was traveling at 20 miles per hour because the rain was that heavy you could not see in front of you (scary!)

Well our next outing is the Back to Back so see you there.

Well still not down to earth yet, it still hasn't sunk in what she has realy achieved.
She had a photo shoot today with the photographer from the Courier our local paper, I got a look in this time because he wanted a picture of both of us.
We have had lots and lots of congratulations from many many people and she's laid here taking everything in her stride.
Deepha's next outing is East of England we are going to stay with her breeder Jan.

Well here she is my fantastic girl!

It was Blackpool Championship Show this weekend I had been stewarding on the friday and saturday but on the sunday was pastoral day and I had entered Deepha.
On the way to the show a black cat crossed my path and I thought well we won't do very well today as these sort of things have the opposite effect what should be lucky is normally unlucky but not today deepha won Best of Breed and then to my utter amazement and still disbelief she won the Pastoral group, what a shock ! I still can't believe it.
Last wednesday we went to Cheshire show and she won best of breed there.
Oh I am so proud of her.

Not been doing much lately weather not been to great and working hard.
I took Deepha to Southern Counties last Sunday, started out on our journey at 3.50 am, roads were quite and the weather was dry till we approached Birmingham then the heavens opened.
The rain continued chucking it down till I was getting near to the A34 the the sky seemed to start clearing and in patches over the day the sun came out and was quite warm.
It was a very long day for both of us we were the last in the ring.
The judging started at 10 am Briards were first in the ring, then our judge started at approx 12.30 pm the Tervueren were judged first there was a few absent, then the Groenendael followed by the Laekenois and we ended up in the ring at about 4.00pm Deepha won her class and got BOB.
After I had packed up said my goodbye's and started home at approx 5 pm.
The weather was still dry but there was a few more cars on the road after stopping once at Keele so we all could have a call of nature and I had a sleep for an hour, we arrived home at approx 10pm (knackered) and still knackered the next day.
I must be mad!!
Anyway no more shows for a couple of weeks so I can get some energy back to start again.

Took Kobra training on Friday very pleased with him, he seems to be improving slowly, there's no rush.

I went to Westmorland Canine Association to help steward for there Open show, they gave me the toy ring, guess what! it was the biggest amount of classes and the biggest entry, and they wanted me to show a new commer the ropes, so I thought what the heck I was there once.

The judge I was stewarding for was very nice very patient and a lovely lady to boot.

When we had finished all the judging the judge gave me a present and thanks for stewarding for her that's got to be a first in my book it was a lovely thought.

Deepha and I are at Southern Counties next Sunday, If your going I will see you there.

Another lovely weekend
Monday Deepha and I went to a local Open show at Great Harwood no classes for Mals so she went in AVNSC Open and won the class. Weekend before I went to SKC with Lucy it was very nice to be driven I saw the lovely scenery on the way which made a nice change Deepha was in Open bitch and came second.
Deepha was 9 years old last Wednesday so both her and Kobra had a very large knuckle bone.
Next weekend I am stewarding for a local Open show, then the weekend after that both Deepha and I will be going to Southern Counties Champ Show. If your going I will see you there.

Well what a turn up for the books it's SUNNY!! and quite warm breeze.

Both John and I have been working in the garden, had to put a net over the big pond as the herons have had all the small fish in the little pond, all these years we have been here and never been bothered with the herons before.

Swollows are nesting again in the same places, its lovely to see all the different birds.

The bird twitters are about again coming in coach loads now they are a pain cars and coaches just stop anywhere blocking drives and roads and they look at you as if you shouldn't be there.

Been very busy lately what with work and trying to organise my own home as well.
Lisa came for the day a couple of monday's ago, we had a nice day we took my dogs along the sea wall at Fluke Hall the sea was way way out and it was breezy but lisa and the dogs seemed to enjoy it as did I.
Last monday I was steward for 46 classes and 16 breeds at the North West Canine Charity Show I enjoyed it but it was very taxing.
This weekend Deepha and I went to the Birmingham National Champ Show at Stafford, she won her class and as usual showed like a trooper, next week Lucy and Dana are coming Saturday evening as we have a early start Sunday morning to go to Scottish Kennel.

Well we have both been busy this weekend doing gardening haven't had any time of late so with the weather being nice and sunny have made the most of it.
Both Deepha and Kobra have been having fun running around and chasing each other Kobra has been in the pond swilling around the tadpoles poor things I bet there dizzy but can't keep Kobra out of the pond he loves it.
Kobra went to his training last friday he seems to be coming on a lot better he was a lot calmer than previous weeks also he is calmer at home, he greets me at the stairs in the morning and dosen't back off like he use to.
He missed the week before because I was at Accrington Open show with Deepha and he will miss next week because I am at W.E.L.K.S with Deepha, but I am very pleased with his progress so far.

What a great day Deepha and I have had!
Last night the secretary of Accrington D.C.S rang me to ask me if I would steward for them at the show she said the commitee agreed that it was ok for me to show Deepha as well.
They wanted me to steward for the Terriers which was in the morning and my class was in the afternoon.
Anyway I agreed, everybody on the commitee were very happy go lucky people, my stewarding stint finished about 12.30 pm.
So left me plenty of time to sort Deepha out (not that she needed it) the time finely came for us to go into our class AVNSC Pastoral Open there was 7 in the class, Deepha won the class and went on to win Best Pastoral AVNSC, then we went into the Group and she won Pastoral Group 2 I was over the moon (if it had been low enough I would have jumped over it) I could not have asked anymore from her she was super.
I just thought I would share my excitement with you all.

Took Deepha to Wigan open Show on Sunday had a nice relaxing time Deepha was in NSC Open Pastoral and she was 3rd out of a very strong 11 in her class was really pleased with her she showed her socks off as usual.

When we got home john had been cleaning out the garden shed and found the hessien sack I use to work with Deepha and he showed me how much Kobra liked it here are some photo's I took but by this time he was getting tired (john not Kobra) (: (: he could go on for ever.

Sorry I haven't updated lately but had a granchild problem and also I haven't been to good but you know me I bounce back eventually.

Went to the BSDA GB Open show last weekend Deepha and I enjoyed ourselves.

When everybody had gone jan and I had a well earned drink and put the world to rights, I miss our chats I will have to come down and stay Jan so we can have some more and so I can catch up on your new arrivals.

Deepha and I are going to Wigan D C S Open Show at Chorley this weekend no classes so in AVNSC.

Kobra and I went to training on Friday he is begining to relax a little did his stays well and did his stop on the long lead also to rejoin his handler he was fine he's getting there but I am quite sure it will take quite a long time because we are doing it slowly not pushing him as we both have plenty of time.

Had a nice surprise last Sunday because they had turned the electric off from 8.30am to 4 pm John said he would take me out to dinner, we went done to my daughters local where they do lovely meals ,it was a lovely change and relaxing (no cooking or clearing up) yepi!

Kobra has started training for his silver good citizen, not to happy on his first visit but hopefully he will improve.

I think this seems to be a common thing with the Sky reps, I put in an order at my local Asda Store they were ment to be comming last Friday morning to install it there was no show by 10 am so rang them no order had been put through I was levid as he had my bank details and card details including my code.

Anyway I reordered on the phone so they should be comming monday 23rd between 12 - 5pm.

Anybody that is thinking of getting sky don't order by a rep ring up and do it on the phone.

I got up at 3 am on Sunday to go to Crufts left the house at 4am and had a good quite journey down to the NEC in Birmingham arrived at approx 6.30am, loaded up my trolly and off Deepha and I went.
Had just unloaded everything put Deepha in her crate when Jan rang to say she had arrived so I asked someone if they would keep an eye on Deepha , and I went to help Jan down with her dogs etc I made a couple of journeys to the carpark then came back with Jan and Martin and some more dogs.
I was very pleased with Deepha she showed very well and got VHC it was a very strong class.
After the Malinois had finished I went a walk about round the show and picked up the trophy Kobra had won from Our Dogs stand, Kobra won a lovely Crystal wine glass because he was Top Malinois Puppy 2008 (picture above) and I was also told by a commitee member of the Northern Belgian Shepherd dog Club that he was also Top Puppy 2008 at there club, so as I'm sure you will realise I am as juffed as a pixie,(Who's a clever boy then).

First aid course now finished got my certificate.
I was judging in North Yorkshire last Saturday I judged all the pastoral including both groups I really enjoyed my day, had a lovely time and there was some very nice dogs to go over.
Well Crufts is nearly upon us our day is next Sunday, Deepha is looking good got some weight of her and just needs a blast to sort her coat out, as for me I'm as ready as I'll ever be.

Well the weather has improved not before time, the dogs are enjoying running and playing in the paddock.
I thought things were beginning to look up for me this year when I finally got a job, but them up above (the almighty) keep sending me things to test me the latest being my suspension spring on the car broke luckly I was at home, but didn't find it till I went to go to work on the wednesday anyway couldn't work wednesday borrowed garage van went to work thursday and did both clients I tell you this agency is very understanding also my clients.
Well got car back now all mended but haven't had bill yet not looking forward to that.
Still doing my animal first aid course and really enjoying it, one more week to go.
Second week we had to take a soft toy I took a rabbit that we had to practice putting leg and head bandages on (poor rabbit).

We have been lucky here no snow, but we have had some flakes but not sticking, the weather has been rather cold and we have had heavy frosts.
Still not time to get the garden ready for the spring it needs a good doing cutting back etc.
Started work 3 weeks ago with a cleaning agency started with 2 hours per week now I have 3 clients so work wednesday, thursday and friday mornings, I enjoy it (sad isn't it enjoying housework) but the nice thing is I get a wage at the end of the month.
Got another show next weekend at Coventry hope the weather improves.

I have been having problems getting onto the internet, keeps telling me to go nearer the rooter when I'm on my laptop i'm right underneath it how nearer do they want it.

Went to Cheltenham Open Show on Sunday, Phillip Morris was judging Deepha got BOB, she realy shows herself off now she is older seems to enjoy showing more, anyway thats another point towards Show Champion, Kobra stayed at home with his dad and enjoyed himself running round the padock getting very muddy.

I am starting a course on Thursday evening at the vets for Animal First Aid so hopfully I won't panic so much when the dogs hurt themselves.

Looking forward to it.

Hi all
Thank goodness the so could festive season is over we both got that dreadful cold that was making its rounds, so now we can get back to the reality of life! (my life anyway)
The weather is a little warmer today been taking the dogs out and taking some pictures mainly of Deepha, they have had a good time over the hols with having us both at home.
Kobra is enjoying going for walks with his backpack on, walks up the road so proud of himself and I must say he do'se look handsome.
Deepha is enjoying the freedom on her walks and loves having her photo taken.
Show season is upon us again, starts for me next weekend with Boston Championship show.

A Winters Tale

There was a heavy frost last night so this morning was a lovely white crisp garden, I let the dogs out to have a play and they thought it was great.

If anyone is wondering what Deepha has on her head it is called a Calming Band it is not tight and she dosen't wear it all the time it has many uses but at the moment I am hoping it will reduce her assessive barking, (Watch this space)

Winter Winds

For the last few days the wind has increased and is getting very strong the rain is on and off just as if you have a switch and are controlling it yourself, but it rains when you don't won't.
It is really bitter cold has been for the last few days I think I should get my thermols out (I would if I had any) must put them on the shopping list along with thermol socks, nothing worse than cold feet.
Kobra and Deepha like the comfort of the log fire, as do John and myself.
Went to a training night at Goosnargh last thursday Kobra was a good boy stood lovely for the trainer.
Going to a christmas party on thursday at one of my ring craft clubs in Blackpool I am sure Kobra will enjoy it.

My mum and I have just been for a lovely walk down the lane, we saw some cars and people on bikes also some sheep in a field they came over to say hello.

In the sky and on some wire's we saw some birds my mum said they were starlins, they flew of and made lovely patterns in the sky.

On the way back we stopped to watch some people working there labradors I enjoyed watching them it was good.

Sorry I have'nt been on for a while.

My computer was sick so I took it to the doctors for a healthcheck not to serious a doctor came to see it at the house and said it needed a new part, a week later he came back put the new part in and it was better, plus another modum for new server and email address, so hopefully all is now well.

Not really been doing much, bonfire night went well not many round here this year I don't know why but I am glad for the dogs sakes they heard them in blackpool and near by towns they had been going for about a week before and a week after.

Kobra never bothered only barked when Deepha barked,

Deepha is usually quite bad but I tried something different this year.
I bought some herbs to calm animals its called Calm Down I started to give it to both of them at the begining of October started with 2 level scoops in there food for approx 2 weeks then 1 scoop each untill the tub is empty this I believe has helped a lot.

Also I put a dog rap on Deepha you could see the difference in her as soon as she had it on she went calm if she heard a firework bang she wood bark calmly so I then let her go in her soft crate which we had brought into the lounge shut her in and covered her up were she could be calm she never made another sound it was a whole lot better.

Everything else I have tried over the years has never worked but this sure has it was well worth buying the rap.

On Friday Deepha and I went to Midland Counties Champ Show Kobra stayed behind with his dad,

We started out about 6am weather was good, traffic was rather heavy on the m6, made one stop on the way and arrived about 8.15am weather still looking very promising, loaded up my trolley and went in to set up then went back to get deepha.

When jan arrived she was loaded up with other peoples dogs as well as her own so I went to give her a hand getting everything in.

Tervueren were in the big hall and the Groenendael and Malinois were in the annex.

Malinois started about 2.45pm by this time everybody had gone out of the annex so there was no atmosphere so as usual we made our own, malinois people are nuts we have a lot of fun at shows even if we are feeling low for some reason.

Bonvivant Esprit (Cougar) won BD and BOB Bonvivant Tete a Tete (Curoso) won RBD and BPuppy, Bonvivant Coup de Foudre avec Zodantta (Deepha) won BB and BOS Bonvivant Sorciere (Dana) won RBB.

Started home about 6pm the traffic on the m6 was horrendious, didn't get above 50mph from Stafford to the Thirewall Viaduct then it started to flow again approx 65miles bumper to bumper arrived home approx 9.45 tired and acheing.

Today we woke up to a flooded garden as it rained non stop all day and all night Saturday.

Our day out
Deepha and I had a lovely relaxed day out at the Blackpool ring craft Companion Show in aid of the North West air ambulance.I entered her in Open bitch which she came 4th, the Veteran class she came 2nd, then we were dragged into a fun class for adult handlers.Deepha enjoyed herself lapping up all the attention and she behaved herself inpeckably,(Jan you would have been proud of her).Before the show opened which was held at Lowther Pavilion Lytham St Annes we went for a walk on the prom and round the lowther gardens.Both Deepha and I were very relaxed and enjoyed just being us two and know Kobra bossing her about he had a nice day with his dad.

Lovely sunny morning, looks lovely from in the house but is rather chilly out side,

after doing some chores I took both dogs down the fields, tried to take some photo's with my phone its not easy with one dog on the lead, and not at all easy with my camera.

They have been having a good run round the paddock at home thoughly enjoying thereselves, at the moment they are both laid down in the study, Deepha preening herself and Kobra asleep on the chair.

Had quite a nice day today took Kobra and Deepha down to Garstang.
Took Kobra for a walk round the stalls of the market, was very pleased with him, he behaved his self when people and a couple of dogs went pass, then met up with my daughter Stephanie and took both Deepha and Kobra round the park, then had a short photo session (1 picture) then back to the car and back to Stephanie's.

Sorry I haven't written anything lately but I have been having problems with my computer and also with creating my blog.
But hopefully this is now behind me.
Went to Norbel show on Sunday the days weather turn out very nice had quite a good day Kobra won his class and got reserve best dog was very pleased with him, Deepha 2nd in her class but was only beaten by a dog so she got reserve best bitch.
I was wondering if any of you out there have a dog that pushes a picture round to look at the back to see if the subjects are behind it, know matter how many time I straighten them up he pushes them round to have a look, it's so funny watching him doing it.

On friday the 3rd October I went to Jan's to stay for a few days and to go to BSDA open show on the Sunday, it was a very early start, we both fell into the van and off we went it was a lousey day weather wise, but all our friends seamed to take it all in there stride.
Deepha was placed 3rd in the pre-beginners obedience and won her class in the breed ring and also got reserve best bitch.
Kobra was in Junior dog and came first, I was very pleased with him, (first time out since I pulled him out for a while so he could grow up a little and could overcome his likes and dislikes of the show scene.
Kobra, deepha and I are going to the NBSDC in Durham on Sunday, so if your going I will see you there.
